How to find a suitable engineering college as per your interests

Getting admission into one of the top engineering colleges in India is a dream that many of us start with. But this search for the best engineering colleges in India sometimes confuses even the most resilient ones due to the number of colleges in India. There is a method of this madness and following a simple process will help you immensely.

The first step is to find an engineering stream that motivates you. This decision should be taken not due to what your friends are following or what even your best advisor may suggest. There are lots of streams that can be chosen and some proactive colleges like Alliance University also provide streams that are progressive and futuristic in nature.

Some of these courses are through their Alliance College of Engineering and Design and cover the traditional ones like computer science and engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering. The more innovative subjects they offer are aerospace engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering and information technology.

Once this choice is finalised you may start categorising the colleges into three groups. The first should have the top notch colleges which will be difficult to get into. The second group should have colleges that are above average and reasonably easier in terms of admission. The third group should contain colleges which are the easiest to get into and you will not regret too much studying there.

The way to weed out the colleges is to consider the kind of degree they offer, their location urban or rural, distance from your home, government or private, living costs and tuition costs, availability of scholarships and financial aid, placement records, campus resources, class size, reputation of the college, diversity of the student community, social life as well as the past performance of the department.

Now you must rank your priorities and make them as per what you deem to be the best engineering colleges in India. Such a personalised listing of the top engineering colleges in India will be your best guide and will suggest the perfect way ahead.
